1.)    After reading about corporate reputation, there were many things that could be taken away. One of the first takeaways that I got from the article was how important it is for the company to have a good reputation. A company’s reputation is a gateway to what the consumer knows about a particular company. If the company has a bad reputation, they will not have that good of sales, when compared to a company with a great reputation. Another take away that I got from this is how having a good reputation can be very helpful when dealing with a crisis within the company. Consumers are more likely to have faith a trust a company in a crisis if they have a respectable reputation. A third take away was how corporate reputation can be important for brands when it comes to sponsorships. 1. Non White Purchasing Power makes up 1/5 of the United States Economy. 2. The future is changing to not be majority caucasian by the year or 2043, so brands need to focus on reaching new customers with a Multicultural Marketing Strategy. 3. Historical Marketing just focused on advertising for the race of White People in the past. 4. With 70% of growth coming from native born Americans, Designated Marketing Areas have been designed to target not only one specific target market, but all in existence. 5.  Diversity is important in commercial advertising because if there is a specific race, left out cultures may be offended completely and will not be interested in purchasing the product. Phineas Taylor Barnum- PT Barnum is highly recognized for his different and persuasive techniques that impacted the world of Public Relations.  From having various methods to attract the attention of various potential consumers, he used a number of different ways to bring publicity and attention to whatever he was currently working on at the moment.  He implemented a way of advertising for his museum by displaying oversized banners on the side of his museum to bring in the interest of various different individuals walking past his building.  Not only was he an amazing marketer, but this specific technique brought the interest of an unbelievable amount of viewers.  This method is still used today and here is an example in modern-day of this same technique at the Smithsonian Museum.  2. 1. I believe the video we watched in class portrayed Public Relations to be covering up the reality of famous individuals in modern-day society.  From watching different television series and movies over the past century, the American Film industry pointed out that PR is only showing the ethically good side of what famous people are living in their life.  The video clip explained the true side of how the targeted party is focused on being portrayed in a good light so their audience does not have any negative thoughts about that specific person.  I believe that this is extremely accurate in our world today and sheds light on what is really going on behind the scenes of our favorite idols.  Everyone in this world faces real problems and this showed how our world is being manipulated to think in a certain manner about the other side of the world.  2.
