1. Phineas Taylor Barnum-

65432311PT Barnum is highly recognized for his different and persuasive techniques that impacted the world of Public Relations.  From having various methods to attract the attention of various potential consumers, he used a number of different ways to bring publicity and attention to whatever he was currently working on at the moment.  He implemented a way of advertising for his museum by displaying oversized banners on the side of his museum to bring in the interest of various different individuals walking past his building.  Not only was he an amazing marketer, but this specific technique brought the interest of an unbelievable amount of viewers. 
This method is still used today and here is an example in modern-day of this same technique at the Smithsonian Museum. 

2. Ivy Lee-

Image result for ivy lee relationsIvy Lee is another pioneer of the Public Relations world who focused on three main tools when advertising his information through various outlets.  The three main tools his firm specifically focused on were accuracy, authenticity, and public interest.  His form of public relations revolved on true information so his firm could be recognized as extremely reliable as well as fact-based.  By having a true and honest reputation, the information Lee's firm strived to accomplish was publically interesting so viewers could develop the intention of potentially wanting to listen to what they had to say.  Ivy Lee was in charge of the first-ever press release, which can be defined as a statement given to the public with factual information on an occurrence. 

3. Edward Bernays-

Image result for edward bernays cigarettesEdward Bernays was known for being in charge of Propaganda during world war 1.  By having the knowledge to report was what going on from the war, he attracted a major amount of attention after how successful his tactic was.  One example was him promoting cigarettes as both soothing and swimming to the waistline.  His methods were absolutely intelligent and that is why he is one of the pioneers of the public relations industry. 







4. Arthur W. Page-

Page was in charge of taking the Public Relations world for all the right reasons.  He implemented the work ethic of catering to your customer, being truthful, realizing that the company's true character is actually described by the reputation of your customers.  His intelligence focused on self-promotion in a positive manner to help attract various potential consumers.
